Wow the blog didn't last long

Soooo I started using the blogger again so I can set up a new string regarding my health and eating healthier. Pretty much as a way to hold myself accountable and possibly encourage my friends who are also working on it. Anyways I reread the few posts I wrote for my dad... I guess I should wrap this up with a pretty little ribbon and share what's happened since.

I went to work for the care home, I got my certificate and worked as a CAN, I was offered a seat in the LVN program... and then I found out I was pregnant.

The circle of life... one year and 10 days after loosing dad we welcomed a new family member, named after you dad and his other grandpa. Obviously it's been a whirlwind since then and while I am no longer working dad I am doing the most Important thing I can be doing... I am raising your grandson. He has helped the family deal with loosing you... since you had such a big personality it's only fitting that he does to!

Sure maybe someday I will become a nurse as we talked about, but dad I'm happy and grounded in a way I haven't ever been before. God knew the perfect timing in blessing me with a son and I know you would agree.

We love you and miss you dad but I still work in home health care and know you are with me all the time... if even in your grandson!

I told you I would be okay, I am going to get my nursing license even if it takes 10 years like I said. I love you!!!!!

Happy Vetrans Day

so my stomach isn't hurting anymore. I think right after the last post I had a dream, quite possibly even that night.

We were at the house after you passed away like we were in real life, running around the house cleaning it for mom, sorting through your clothes ect. but you were there sitting in your chair. None of us knew what to say to you because we knew you were dead but you sat there like you weren't. So I started to leave the house and you asked if I was coming back later because you had something to ask me. I went over to you and said I'm right here dad what is it? You started talking to me about the pacemaker having questions about it and you were scared, a little after that you and I were sitting at the table and everyone was still cleaning and running around being busy and you asked me something and I turned to you and took your hand and looked at you and said that you were already dead. You said I thought it was something like that. Looked into my eyes, smiled, squezzed my hand and then walked out.

I woke up and had Robert hold me and then finally dad, the tears came. I sat on the couch in the livingroom and just cried and Robert came out and sat next to me and just held my hand. I think I was telling myself in the dream that you are dead... that it's ok. My stomach got better each day after that because those emotions stopped being bottled up inside. I cry every once and awhile now, not a lot, just if I think of you and miss you I cry, but it's no longer trapped inside me. It's vetrans day today, I miss you. You missed the elections, I'm glad... that alone would have given you a heart attack!

I have good news. I had a lead from Amber about the care home right behind my apartment, that's  how she went through the CNA program. SO I popped in and asked if they were hiring, I thought if I got in as an aide, or laundry, or cafeteria... but no they were hiring for the CNA program. They pay for the CNA class, meanwhile putting me to work helping with the arts and crafts and projects to get to know the patients before working as a CNA and then after the class I would be working for them as a CNA. So I turned in a aplication, resume, Jess helped me with my cover letter, and the next day I got a call about an interview. I've gone to the interview now and am waiting to hear back which would be in the next few days. I was going to be with mom already in Taft, but if I get it the orientation is Friday so I have to wait around to hear. I think I got it but I don't want to get my hopes up too high.

I also turned in my FAFSA to see about getting financial aide for college. I am going to call the College tomorrow, I qualify for some help but I don't know what. Even if it's just the Bog to cover the costs of my classes that would help, then I would cover the books and fees. I don't know if I have to pay all the fees if I'm just taking 1 class, but it's like 100 dollars of fees alone. I have 3 prerequisite classes I have to take but they are pretty heavy duty so I would like to just do 1 per semester, atleast since I will be working full-time. If I don't get the job I will go do those 3 classes next semester. Either way I want you to know I am moving forward dad, and it seems like everything is falling into place. When I interviewed she got it, the fact that I haven't been working lately because I was giving the family priority, what I needed to do, but now it's time to move forward into a career, not a job, a career that I want to do!

I love you dad, I know your proud of me, but it would be nice to be able to tell you in person or on the phone and hear you respond back. Miss you!!! Happy Vetrans Day!

its been a few days, I know sorry dad. I havent had a good week, my stomach is hurting really bad, like it did when we had everyone living at our house and there was a lot of drama and the stress caused me to have bad stomach issues that magically went away when they and the drama stopped.  Stress and pent up emotions can do a lot of harm to the body. Maybe I need to go see a counselor again, problem is, we both know I cry a lot. I have tons of emotions, but they haven't come out yet. I'm not trying to hold them in, I'm not trying to be strong they just haven't manifested in anything other than a lack of motivation, drepression, and stomach cramping.

I was sitting down playing a game when I thought about the fact I haven't written in a few days and I should. The next word that came up was funeral. I took it as a sign to get up and head over the to computer. I know you didn't believe in signs or premonitions or dreams, so I never told you I did out of respect. But of corse you know the truth of all that know, I know I am still a lost little puppy searching for the truth of many things that I will never know until its my time to join u in heaven. I don't think you were right about everything, but I don't think I am too, thats just it, in this life we continue to seek for the truth and have faith that we are in God's hands and as long as we turn to Him we will be covered by grace. That doesn't mean we stop moving forward, we both agreed on that.

I'm waiting to get paid so I can goi into town and try to talk to Welfare and the job center to try to find a way to move forward. I want to get back into the work industry, I need to find something with medical so I can cover both me and Tiff. I want to be a productive member of society again.

Lol Jessica just txted me and told me to wake up. I did I told er I even made breakfast for everyone. Then she responded go walk.  I love Jess, I may walk a little because fresh air is good for me and the excersize and getting out of the house, I just can't push it too far, my stomach has been icky all week although it feels better today. Sad when I woke up and got dressed (too embaressed to tell you what time that was) I got dressed and Robert asked me where I was going.... I said I thought it would be good if I got dressed. I have to pull myself out of this. Increased my Prozac need to go see the doctor. I won't remain on this level because I don't always need this much, the prozac is for the depression, but if I don't need it and I take it I can go into a manic and we all know I don't need that right now either. I could have gotten up earlier I origonally woke up a little before 9 and knew I should get up but Robert was still sleeping so I cuddled up next to him and went back to bed. I'm scared now dad.. I know the pain of loosing you, what really kills me is that if I lost him too I don't know how I would deal with it. Jess would be there though, because she knows. Probably have me commited at first lol.

My biggest fear and deepest emotion I never want to feel is the feeling of being alone. To me that's what Hell would be like for me. I'm scared of that. I felt a glimpse of it the night after you died briefly. I miss you dad!!!! I miss you soo much. I love you. I think I need to go walk now.

...it's time to do this

Dad...

So I don't even remember that I actually started this project. I knew that I wanted to so I could try to help myself through this greiving process. When I reread what I had typed I vagely remember it. I obviously did it from my ipad because of the typing, besides I just set up my computer today. Apparently I had written that the night after you had passed away, that was a bad night for me. I had held it together for mom until we picked up Jeremy from the airport and a few hours into our drive home, I started to feel the pain and emptiness and the hole left behind in my life. It was unbearable. I took my ambien to help myself sleep that night, apparently that's when I had written the blog, after we got home and before I fell asleep. Since then I have been numb, I guess in denial. I know you are gone logically, but emotionally it hasn't effected me. I've cried a little here or there but it doesn't last, not like I usually cry and you know I cry about everything. Everytime I think about you I just remember the hospitals and the last few years of you being sick. I have dreams about it.

K now some tears, but not like I expect... that pain I felt the night after, it was a hollow emptiness daddy... I'm scared to feel that again. I may not, but I am scared to deal with it because the feeling was so overwhelming. I went through anger too, not at you for dieing like some do, or at God for taking you like others... I think anger for having to hurt so bad. The feeling of loneliness has always scared me, and I am always scared everyone will die before me and leave me here on Earth alone daddy. I wish God would come back soon and take us all away to heaven so we don't have to ever feel that pain of being alone. I know you have differant views on that, well I guess you have the answer to that question now.... guess we should have set up a sign so you could let me know whats up... funny.

I've been busy since I have been home, Jess has made a ton of headway with the house, and tonight is moms first night home alone. I don't want to get up in the mornings, the other day I slept till 3 pm... embarassed to admit it but I did... obviously the stress of loosing you is getting to me. I want to let it out, I want to cry and understand that your not there anymore, I want to feel something. I feel like a horrible daughter for not feeling anything, for not missing you, for not remembering anything except the bad times you have had the last few years. I know logically that is stupid too, that me remembering the pain is a protective mechanism. I didn't want you in pain, I didn't want you trapped in the cave of the house watching a tv that was starting to go out and not even being able to see it much at all since your eye sight was so bad. You couldn't even cook anymore which was something you loved to do because you couldn't be without your oxygen and you had a gas stove... you got too tired to even make your coffee in the morning towards the end, and I was going to start to wake up early to make it for you... you had lost so much I didn't want to see you loose more. So yes, I am relieved your gone. It makes me feel guilty to feel that way. You wanted me to go on with my life, to go back to school and work, and I couldn't because I was going to be by your side till the end. I couldn't do that till you were gone. Mom couldn't move on either. She needs to get out of the house and do things and she got to where she didn't want to go to the store or go to her dr's apts because she was scared to leave you alone. I am relieved for all of us. Every day we had with you was a blessing I know that, but we knew the end was coming, but I didn't want to see you suffer anymore, so yes I am relieved. I think you are relieved too... but that doesn't make me feel less guilty.

I'm going to call the school tomorrow and get the FAFSA sent out to me, ask questions regaurding the financial aid, and set up an appointment with a counselor. I might go straight into school instead of the CNA corse first. It seems like it makes more sense, I want to make you proud. I want you to know I am going to be okay. I want to cry and I want to miss you I want to feel something and I don't want to be numb and wondering around in a haze anymore. I don't know, it's not like me to have no emotion, it's not a place I am used to.

I do miss you dad, I want to call and see if your okay, because that's what my life had become this last year, making sure you and mom were okay. I guess you are now. Guess I can move forward. Guess I have to learn how to.

Love you daddy

Daddy I miss you so much already. I don't keep a diary, but I wanted to find a way to hold on while learning to let go... this was what y brain and heart concluded together. The talking to you outloud thing could be considerd crazy =O we both know I'm crazy enough. I'm very tired tonight and while I am thinking about the things on my mind I don't want to open the flood gates or I will never sleep. I love you and I know your now freed from the burdden of your illness  I just can't call you anymore for advice on how to cook something, or which chef did a great job on hells kitchen, top chef, survivor, etc. Love you daddy.... goodnight!
